a very Oscar worthy performance. I loved Emma Stone in Bugonia equally though so I don’t know how I’d vote if I got to vote. I haven’t seen Hamnet yet but Jessie Buckley is always good.

I thought it was a really good choice to only give us the persistent voice of the sick child in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You and only show us the kids face at the end. It felt questionable to me though that she would be seeing a therapist who is a colleague in the same clinc where she worked as a therapist. That seemed unrealistic to me. There are plenty of therapists on Long Island. Why would she one that she works with?

I have not seen Rose Byrne in a lot. I want to see more. Any suggestions? I recently watched Mrs America in which she was good as Gloria Steinem. She’ll be on Broadway this year in Fallen Angels by Noel Coward. I’ll try to see that. I missed her on stage in Medea in Brooklyn in 2020. Her husband, Bobby Cannavale was also in that production. I would have loved to see that. But it was a limited run from January to March 2020. I was in Mexico for a few weeks that January and the pandemic hit in March.
