I rarely walked on the street in pointy-toed, 4-inch heels. I was one of those women who wore sneakers or some other comfy flats to commute and had a drawer full of shoes with heels to wear in the office. As I got older, since I worked in the nonprofit world, I could wear pretty casual clothes including flat shoes before the tech world made casual more common.. I’d only get a little more dressed if I had a meeting with someone important from outside — like Hillary Clinton. I didn’t meet Hillary in sneakers. Good luck with your bunion situation. If you have surgery, WFH will be handy.
