It is very easy to check my voicemail on my iPhone. My phone tells me how many new voicemails I have with a little number on the voicemail button. I tap the voicemail button and there is a list of voicemails. If they’re in my phone’s address book/contacts, VM tells me who left the VM. If they’re not in my phone’s contacts, it tells me the phone # of the VM leaver. I tap each new VM and listen. If I want to call the person immediately after listening to their VM, I can tap call. Or I can tap delete. Or I can close it to deal with later. Also while a VM is in the process of being left on my phone, I can tap my main screen and read a transcription of the VM as it’s being left without having to actually listen to it or even tap the VM button.

Thank you for reminding me that there are phones that don’t make it as easy to check VM. But I’ll remain annoyed by people who I know have iPhones not checking their VM.
