someone, respond immediately with something that also needs responding to...and then you don't hear from them for hours, maybe even days. Yes, things come up and interruptions will happen but most of us (except Dad and his flip phone) can send a text in seconds, and I know that phone is right there in your hand so it's not like you're hunting all over the house for it.
My biggest problem (and it's a me problem) is I'll read that text, and either I need to look up something to be able to respond, or I'm driving or something and can't respond immediately. And then I will forget and not respond for hours or days. 😬 It's no longer a 'new' message so the notification doesn't pop up and I might not realize for a while that I never actually responded. Or I think out a response in my head and then don't realize that hey, you never actually wrote that out, dingbat.
