Miracle #1: our plow guy FINALLY plowed our driveway. He's supposed to come out whenever there's more than 2" of snow in the driveway...there was WAY more than 2" of snow, thanks to multiple days with snowfall and temperatures remaining well below freezing and not melting the snow. We shoveled tire tracks so we could at least get out of the garage and down the driveway, but it was nice to be able to drive anywhere on the driveway and be OK.

Miracle #2: while I was at work Monday night, Dad put up the Christmas tree 😄 We've been having a bit of a stand off about the tree...putting it up is literally the ONLY thing he has to do at Christmas, and he hates doing so, mainly because in putting the tree in the big picture window in the living room, we have to move the loveseat, which is his second favorite place to read and nap (#1 is the recliner in the spare room). Now the tree is my absolute favorite part of the holiday decor...but this year, I decided to let him take the lead on when the tree went up, or even IF the tree went up. And if he never said anything and the tree never went up, well, that would've been a bonus gift to him this year. But he must've been bored yesterday or maybe feeling extra energetic because I came home to a tree in the living room. A tree that's leaning to the right for some reason...but I didn't, and am not going to, say a word. Pick your battles, right? After a long day both before work and during work, I really wasn't in the mood to hang ornaments, especially because I'm so darn fussy about the process (certain ornaments have their specific spots and no putting ornaments together that are a similar color, style or general theme). It took me 90 minutes to get all the ornaments in their proper places; a partial count/partial extrapolation leads me to guesstimate there's over 100 ornaments on the tree. By the end, I was sore and tired...but very, very happy to see the tree up and decorated.
