this about keeping the pantry well stocked. My parents certainly were. I’m sure anyone who has had to go without enough food because of poverty must feel more secure when there is food stocked at home, especially stuff like peanut butter, canned tuna and soups, etc. Stuff that can last a long time and be there when you need it.
