Most everything had been fixed - there's some money in escrow because the electrician needed a part that won't come in until next week so it will get fixed then.

Closing went well, I felt bad though, we had the floor guy stop by to get another measurement (we forgot to tell him the walk in closet was also getting the floors in the basement bedroom), turned out he needed us to double check the color for the hardwood and pick out the LVP color too, took a bit longer than we thought but everyone was ok with it. The woman from the title company was great, lived around the corner actually.

The seller fully moved out yesterday and Mr. Kris is at the place now, raking sycamore bark (turns out we have a sycamore tree, and it sheds bark like CRAZY when we have hard rain like we did Wednesday) and prepping Jack's room for painting. He picked a blue.

I very very badly want to paint the family room but I am so torn on colors. What's there now is purple on the bottom, a black chair rail, and light grey on top. The rug is grey as well. There's a gas fireplace in the corner that's oak wood. My living room now is a dark sage and I really like it but I don't know if I want that for the new house too. Maybe a light sage, with white on the bottom? I don't think I want the opposite.

There's also a chair rail and wainscoting on the wall opposite the kitchen (where a dining table would go if we weren't turning the upstairs living room into the dining room because who needs two living rooms?). But it's weird, it's a little darker than the rest of the oak trim, plus the wood is rough. I'm debating painting it white, but also thinking about putting this piece of furniture in that area: [link] which btw will be purchased separately, because together it's $1800 but separately it's $1200. We might not be getting it until next month sometime. And if we get this piece, we're going to paint the wall with the bay window the same color as this, to make an accent wall.

There's so much stuff I want to get but Mr. Kris is talking me down, LOL. I am probably going to find some patio furniture soon, and we did go ahead and get the grill because it was on sale for Prime Day and my brother and SIL gave us an Amazon card to go towards it so we ended up spending less than $350 on a gas AND charcoal grill and I cannot WAIT to grill out. CANNOT WAIT.

ETA: None of the furniture in the rec room is mine. We also still need to buy a couch. We might be sitting on the floor next week, LOL.
