Alumni Report
Lane Davies (ex-Mason, Santa Barbara; ex-Cameron, GH) is starring in the world premiere production of a new play, Plot Twist, which was written by SBâs co-creator, Jerome Dobson. According to a press release, âSet in the seductive, high-pressure world of 1980s daytime television, Plot Twist follows Henry, a brilliant soap opera writer whose personal life begins to unravel as it collides dangerously with the stories he creates. As ambition, desire, and betrayal intensify, the line between fiction and reality blurs, with explosive consequences. When a hidden gun enters the picture, nothing remains predictable.â Davies not only stars, but also directs, and said, âThis is soap opera storytelling the way youâve never experienced it before. On stage, the stakes are higher because anything can happen, and it is happening right in front of you.â The production from The Conasauga Shakespeare Company runs at the Synchronicity Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 24 through May 2. Tickets are on sale nowâŚ. Jaime Ray Newman, who played Alexisâs sister, Kristina, on GH, is joining the cast of Netflixâs Poser in a recurring capacityâŚ. Vincent Irizarry (ex-David, All My Children et al) revealed that he has a cameo role in David Duchovnyâs upcoming satire Soapbox, which is about a past-his-prime soap star. Also appearing in the movie? GH star Laura Wright (Carly).
