of the characters that would make sense, like Bobbie, Nikolas, Robert, Skye etc...there aren't many other characters currently on the show that were around 10yrs ago when he left and if they were, they didn't have much of a connection to Luke. Unless I'm missing something. Anna could have been involved, but she's unavailable.

Characters currently available off the top of my head that would possibly make sense to add would be Felicia, Mac, Dante and I guess maybe Lucas.

So many actors though that are from his era are sadly gone or not on the show anymore.
