Chase looking into other suspects because he knows Willow and doesn't believe she is guilty is one thing. Then discussing his thoughts with Dante and the DA is one thing. Going on the stand and saying under oath that he didn't believe she was guilty and the PCPD were so focused on Willow they ignored other possibilities is another. The fact that the recording of Willow being in her car near Drew's case missing doesn't look good for Chase either.

Chase was right to follow other options, blindsiding his employer on the stand was deserving of discipline.
