This was Michael's plan all along. There was no sudden spurt of generocity. This was to have his children see their mother arrested in front of them.
OTOH, even though I like Nina and hate Carly, I enjoyed the last scene. Sonny rushing in, chase waiting outside and Nina smirking thinking Carly would go down and then boom!
Shame on Dante for telling Sonny Michael is off the hook.
Elizabeth's scene in the previews makes me think she finds something in the basement. Based on the speculations I have heard, it is bad.
