All those painting everyone of the "other party" as the enemy are part of the problem they are complaining about.
Years ago, as a compulsive overeater I was in a room with those with eating disorders. An anorexic was speaking and I realized our issues were the same, we went to the extreme in different directions. She handled her feelings of insecurity with control by starving herself to gain perfection. I handled my feelings of insecurity by giving up and gaining enough weight so I could blame everything on my being fat.
Two extremes are not on the opposite sites of a great line. The line is curved so that the two extremes are closer to each other than they are to the center. Extreme left = a socialist dictator, Extreme right = a fascist dictator.
Ingo is doing exactly what he is bashing -- painting everyone he disagrees with with the same brush as a demented killer. Did he feel the same outrage when the Democratic Governor and her husband were killed by a right wing demented killer?
