worked with, often leads to them landing on other shows and often times it is a good decision. To me, it's a form of networking. Alexa (NuLulu) got tapped to play Lulu and as much as they had the character come in hot and abrasive, she is a good recast. I didn't care for Babe Chandler but I knew she was a capable actress. RH was Franco was awesome casting because he's a talented actor who made the role his own. Michael Easton is a fine actor and I liked Finn so again--good casting even though he appeared on OLTL. Do people who work at hospitals, not take jobs at other hospitals? What about advertising or teaching? This is their career and if they get a call to come read for something and are a right fit--more power to them.
and honestly I'm not mad at it because Sasha would end up like every other love interest of Michael's dead or villainized.
Eh I don't want ES as a Monica recast let the character die. She hasn't had story in years and honestly they would only bring her out to prop up another favorite instead of her actual family.
I understand, but they have recast Monica before and they can do so again. She hasn't had a story for years due to the actress' health issue. It is beyond stupid for them to mention her several times a week.
Tracy is more than capable of leading the Q's.
They can but I don't want it and what for? They barely used Monica when LC was around anyways I will be deeply annoyed because FV got another one of his OLTL buddies in the role that Monica is suddenly important when she should've had a matriarch role in the family to begin with. God forbid he care about GH history with the GH actors instead of the OLTL ones.
And things can't change? If they cast a six-time Emmy winner as the Quartermaine matriach--why wouldn't they give her airtime and a story? LC had her share of front-burner stories in heyday.
That's debatable. I normally adore Tracy but she has been working my nerves with her "Karen" behavior. I'd sooner see Ned as the head of the family than Tracy--whose my way or the highway mentality is played out. As entertaining as the character is/was/can be--she is doesn't represent the grace, poise, kindness, or fairness that Monica showcases.
See you think Tracy should be like Lila I don't. Tracy is the female version of Edward always has been. While she's a total bitch with occasional moments of decency Ned can be the one with grace and kindness to offset Tracy.
Not at all. I think if Tracy tried to be like Lila, she was turn to stone from the sheer stress of it. What's missing for me most of this year is balance. The last heart-tug moments I remember was when Violet called her for help and she found Finn unconscious. She was great with Violet and Finn. She has had a moment here and there with Gio but mostly, the dial has been set to Karen.
Plus unlike a Monica recast she's been here since Day 1 and I rather see a GH actress be a focal point as the head of the family instead of yet another OLTL castoff.
Understood. I don't mind it. The right after for a role is the right actor--regardless of who they are friends with or what show(s) they have appeared on.
