I started watching GH in 2019 a little bit before Cynthia Watros took over the the role of Nina from Michelle Stafford.

In those six+ years, TJ was a background character, usually only trotted out to be a background doctor in a hospital scene or occasional scenes with Molly. When the show went with the Kristina surrogate storyline, he was occasionally involved, usually being angry. He was even a background character when his baby died! And suddenly Molly and TJ weren't married any more and it was like TJ never existed.

As have mentioned before I saw a Soap Opera Digest photo of Tajh laughing with someone and it really struck me I had no memory in those 6-7 years of seeing TJ in a scene where TJ was having fun or showing joy.

Glad he has found something to pour his passion into. It is easy to tell when a show looses interest in a character -- TJ, Finn, Cody, Sam and we still don't know who murdered Austin Holt! Ingo was fired because he sued ABC rather than get the Covid vaccination or quit like Steve Burton. But even before Covid it was clear Jax was fading into the background with no hint of future stories. I was expecting him to either be taken off contract and show up occasionally as Joslynn's dad or let go completely.

Being off contract still allows an actor some work and the ability to do and look for other acting jobs, so it is a good thing. But I totally support any actor choosing to move on.
