Who's Coming
Tamara Braun (Sienna Bacall): The club owner reconnects with her old pal Holden (Nathan Owens) while he is in Los Angeles showing Claire (Hayley Erin) around the city. Sienna will make her debut on the Tuesday, October 14 episode, marking the first time Daytime Emmy-winner Braun has appeared on a CBS soap. Her last daytime gig, which wrapped in April, was playing DAYS’s Ava Vitali, a role she reprised after she exited GH, where she had played Kim Nero, in 2019. The actress first hit the soap scene back in 2001 as the second actress to play the role of Carly.

Matt Cohen (Detective Burrow): GH vet Cohen, who appeared on the Port Charles scene as priest/doctor Griffin Munro from 2014-19, also makes his Y&R debut this week. Look for him to first air on Thursday, October 16.

Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter): The singer/songwriter/restaurant hostess pays a visit to her wife Mariah (Camryn Grimes) while she’s receiving treatment.

Jess Walton (Jill Foster Abbott): Jill makes a big decision affecting her relationship with Billy (Jason Thompson). Will mother and son reconcile, or will this be the final nail in the coffin?

Industry News
Going for the Gold: Friday, October 17, is the night when the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmys will be held in Pasadena, CA, and all the nominees — and everyone else — learn who walks away with a coveted statuette. Fans can watch the live event on watch.theemmys.tv or via The Emmys official app on their smart TV or personal device, and they can vote for who they think should win in Digest‘s poll.

Real-Life Status
Great Expectations: Jason Canela (ex-Arturo, Y&R) and his fitness trainer wife Jana shared some great news on Instagram. “Twice the love , twice the joy 🤰🏼baby canela arriving April 2026!,” she wrote. In the cute reel, they were outside and pulling signs from behind their backs. Hers said “We’re” while his said “Scared.” She looked at him and shook her head. He gave her a look that was like, “Oh right” and switched the card to the next one that said, “Pregnant again.” The two then kissed and called forward their firstborn, Jovie Rose, who had her own card. They lifted her and brought her closer so the card could be read: “Baby arriving April 2026” as Michael Bublé’s song “Feeling Good” played in the background. Former on-screen love Melissa Ordway (Abby) commented, “CONGRATULATIONS ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Arrest Report: Darius McCrary (ex-Malcolm, Y&R) was reportedly under fugitive arrest on a felony charge and taken into custody by the U.S. Border Patrol, according to TMZ. This happened on Oct. 5 near the Mexico-U.S. border, and the actor was being held without bail in a San Diego jail. A rep for the actor told the website, the arrest was because of a missed court appearance regarding his failure to pay child support. This is his third arrest for the same issue. But TMZ also reported that according to sources close to the actor’s ex-wife Tammy Brawner, this arrest is not connected to their child support agreement.

Seeking Help: After it was reported that Max Ehrich (ex-Fenmore, Y&R) was arrested and was charged with one count of battery on a person 65 years of age or older after an altercation with his mother, Ehrich’s mom took to social media to defend her son, who has since checked into rehab. “The media and the narrative of my son attacking me is completely fabricated,” she wrote on Instagram. “A short video clip of an altercation that is being exaggerated for click bait does not discern the truth of what did and didn’t happen. The only villain in this is the fact that my son was kidnapped and forced to ingest a dangerous substance. My son is my best friend and one of the best people I know. My son lives a clean, healthy and sober lifestyle. All my son has ever wanted was a platform to share love and goodness to the world. These public exaggerations are harmful to my family. Falsely stating such is also defamation. I am pursuing all legal avenues to clear my son’s name and to move beyond this instance where forced substance abuse created these conflicts. In a short amount of time I watched substance abuse take over his entire daily life because he was kidnapped and forced to do drugs with a group of bad characters and I struggled as any mother would with the demand to keep him safe as a grown man and protect him. He now is in rehab and he is getting the treatment he needs. A mother knows who their son is and isn’t. Those who know the real Max Ehrich know him for the kind, respectful, loving and talented young man that I’m proud to say is my incredible inspirational, brilliant, clean living amazing son. Max is devastated and extremely apologetic that the world had to watch him fall from grace. At this time we as a family are asking for our privacy and healing prayers.”
