I want to love it. I want to feel like questions were answered and the story concluded in the best way possible.

IMHO, it definitely wasn't.

and yet....damn that was a long conversation in bed. i almost feel like it was one of the longest conversations we've ever witnessed between Claire and Jamie, lol.

OMG! It was like 10-12 minutes. I was like we do not need all of this damn pillow talk. And then later Jamie's speech to the bees. I mean, I read it was a throwback to tradition or some crap. But all it did was waste valuable screen time.

and wow did they spend a lot of time on good byes, maybe that was really for the fans because it was a long lead up to the battle.

Too much. And no John or William. If episode 9 was the end of their story, I wish that Jamie and William had embraced one last time. Claire already told him it might be the last time he sees his da.

and what kind of soldiers don't disarm a hostage in the first instance?

That was beyond sloppy and stupid.

so here are my burning questions:
- were there folks out there who did NOT think the Highlander in S1 was Jamie? I mean, who TF else could it have been?

- why did we have to learn that Fanny could time-travel? did it bring ANYTHING to the rest of the story or the finale? Everything about Fanny was not needed and a waste of time.

- why did we have to learn that Roger and Brianna's last kid wasn't a traveler? he was like the water, like Jamie? WHAT IS THE POINT? Dunno.

- why did we have to see Claire bring that baby back to life, but we didn't see her do it with Jamie? But we did see it with Jamie. The Native American woman told Claire that when her hair turns completely white, she will have her full powers. That's why at the end, both Jamie and Claire opened their eyes and inhaled deeply. She brought him back.

- if Roger and Ian both believed Jamie was dead, but Jamie never looked dead? LOL my husband was semi-watching with me and when Claire said Jamie was just resting, hubby goes, "oh he's DEAD? he's got a LOT of color for someone who's dead."

Yeah. He was the best looking corpse I've ever seen LOL.

- what the hell is this online chatter about a time loop? like Claire, Jamie and everyone around them are stuck in a time loop because ghost-Jamie made more forget-me-nots bloom at the stone?

sometimes i hate the internet, LOL.

because if Claire healed Jamie I get it - it's the prophecy from the Indian woman, it would make sense that we saw Claire's trial-run on the baby, as well.

She healed him. His eyes were closed and then opened before fade to black.

i don't know, i'm torn on this finale. I think it leaves the door open for MANY movies, spin offs, etc. but I don't think any story could be Claire/Jamie centric in those spin offs, you know?

This was by far one of the worst and unsatisfying series finale I've seen in recent memory. I was bored out of my mind.

I give the final season a D+

I give the series finale an F
