It was spur of the moment, we had gone to the increasingly empty mall for a game store he likes and while walking around he wanted to see if Hoppers was still in theaters. It isn't, but Super Mario Galaxy was about half an hour from starting, so once we went back to the car to get my glasses, we got tickets, popcorn, drinks...$40 later we were set, lol.
It was a pretty good movie! We had liked the first one a lot, this was a good sequel. Although there were probably a few in jokes we didn't get, because neither of us have ever played the Super Mario Galaxy game. It was enjoyable, though. And the theater seats were nice, I didn't know that they were HEATED until Jack said during the previews that he was starting to feel the heat. There was a button and it heated up the back and was AWESOME. I will go there more often, lol. They also have $7 Tuesdays so during the summer I think we'll go see some movies too.
There were a few previews but it wasn't excessive - last time I saw a movie (I think it was Wicked 2? maybe?) there was legitimately half an hour of previews. I love previews but that was just too much. Funny story though, they played the preview for The Mandalorian and Grogu, and when Sigourney Weaver came on screen I said "Oooh, Sigourney Weaver is in this!" Jack goes, "Yeah Mom that's what you said the last time we saw this preview." πππ I had totally forgotten.
On Thursday night we watched the movie Goat on Netflix - Jack LOVED it, he's watched it twice more since then. I liked it a lot too.
