with Wayfair furniture been? Was it easy to assemble? Worth paying for them to assemble? Does it look like the photo on the website? Is it holding up? My sister is considering ordering some new kitchen chairs from Wayfair and neither of us have any experience with Wayfair. How does it compare to Ikea? We know Ikea pretty well.

Her current chairs are old and finally starting to fall apart. They’re old in a good way. Solid wood ladderback chairs that she has had for maybe 30 years. She bought them used. They were probably made, best guess, in the 1940s. Very solid wood constructed entirely with wood dowels and glue. No metal at all like screws or braces. They’re from a time when stuff was still made to last. But nothing lasts forever. She’s tried re-gluing them but it didn’t work. A pro might be able to re-glue them properly but she’s ready to let them go. They are likely at least 75 years old and lasted this long which is pretty amazing.

She started shopping online for new chairs. She might also go to some used furniture stores since she had such good luck the last time she went that route.

So, what has your experience been with Wayfair furniture? They seem to have a lot of chairs.
