I never watched it growing up, but as an avid reader of EW I know some of the backstage stuff...but am more or less spoiler free.
That said, how representative is S1 of the entire series?
Some episodes I really enjoy, while others I'm bored. It isn't bad, but it's also of its time. I get really bored with procedural/case of the week...so does this get like Buffy with longer arcs, or does it stay like Angel S1 with the story of the week?
It feels like it wants to go darker than Buffy, yet at the same time feels much more shallow than Buffy.
I know Finola Hughes has some part (I don't know when she shows up, nor am I sure as who, so PLEASE don't spoil that for me!), and I know Shannen Doherty leaves at some point. Alas, Prue is also my fave of the three sisters.
Also...I never was much of a fan of either Alcazar twin on GH, but I am really enjoying Ted King (then TW King) on this show. I didn't know he was on it! Matthew Ashford was on the pilot as Prue's skeezy boss/ex.
