Apparently it's attracting meteor "hunters" from all over.

In the article, it states that some hunters have sold pieces of meteors for $100-200. I heard on a different local station this morning that, depending on the size of the chunk and the rarity of the material, a piece of meteorite can go for way more than that. The highest price ever paid for a single meteorite at auction is $5.3 million, set in July 2025 for a 54-pound (24.7 kg) piece of Mars.

Dang...I'm tempted to get in my car and drive over to Medina County and join the search!
