I remember quite a few years ago when I was still working at the bindery...I noticed that the kids who were hired for the summer to bind the textbooks slowly stopped wearing jeans. The girls wore either leggings or super short shorts, depending on their level of confidence, and the guys almost all wore super long shorts. I mentioned it to my bff who mentioned it to her college-age niece who confirmed that yes, jeans were out (at that point) and leggings were in.

Now, if the bindery was still around, I think the girls would wear either short shorts or yoga pants <g>.
