I'd never heard of it before, I don't remember my brothers doing it but maybe they did. They invite the kids from the group under those bridging to come to the ceremony so they'll see what it's like the next year, so that was when I discovered what it was. It's kind of a moving ceremony, a big group of scouts from the new troop is there to welcome them in and give them new kerchiefs. And the kerchiefs for his new troop are really cool, they have a crab embroidered on them!

Last year they had a huge cake and it was delicious. They actually had two - one on one side had the cub scout symbols, then a bridge connecting to the other cake with the Scout symbols. I was expecting something like that again.

it was totally rude for other parents and people involved in Scouts to leave you and Mr. Kris to do it all. Boo!

Ewwww...

it was SO nasty. the tables were greasy too but since we weren't using those we just folded them up and left them gross! I'm sure the church will blame us for the mess, even though they turn it over to us gross ALL the time.

Everything went off really well, it was pretty emotional, and we had a good time. The only drawback was there was supposed to be cake. I was PROMISED CAKE. Cake is like my favorite thing in the WORLD. Den leader decided to just do ice cream sundaes. 😐

Woman, you EARNED that good piece of cake with thick sugary frosting! On a related note, I like king cake but yeah, done wrong, it can be pretty dry and disappointing, texture-wise.

I really need to go buy myself some cake, LOL.
