I'm scheduled for a hysterectomy in the coming weeks (maybe, more on that in a minute). I've been dealing with uterine fibroids for a while now. I have numerous ones and one that is getting very large. My doctor has tried all the other options and nothing has worked so hysterectomy it is. Uterus and cervix are going, not sure if I'll lose both ovaries yet. One for sure due to it being enlarged as well. I can't recall the medical term she used but it's like having endometriosis but in the ovary. She will decide on the other ovary once she starts the surgery and gets a closer look at it. It's suppose to be next month but, oh joy, a cyberattack happened on the hospital and they had to cancel all non-emergency surgeries for several days so I might get pushed back, too. We'll see. The fun of aging, right?
