I am so happy for Alysa!

And so happy that she has been so vocal about doing this differently. There is no doubt that she works hard and dedicates a lot of her time to figure skating you can't compete at the level she does without doing so... BUT it is clear that it is not her entire life... like so many young people have been taught that it HAS TO BE for so long.

Maybe this will lead to a more balanced skate/life balance for many young people... I hope so.
