Why am I *not* surprised SM didn't ask why you were late or if you were okay? (Rhetorical question)
A local tv station had a story last week about cars vibrating above a certain speed. The cause was the same was yours': snow packed into the tires/wheel well.
Not to hijack your post but Tuesday night coming home from bowling, I turned into the alley we park off of, and the back end of my car slid heading towards the parked vehicle on the alley. Luckily, I didn't hit it but then my front tires couldn't get traction.
I cautiously back up a bit and try again to go forward. A little bit of progress and then the tires just spin. All I needed was about a foot of forward progress to get off ice/snow and reach actual pavement. It took me 5-10 minutes of "back and forth" ever so carefully (to avoid the parked vehicle) to reach the pavement with my front tires.
I've not had many issues getting into or out of our alley until now. And we've lived here since spring of 1998.
I told hubby we need to start doing more with the alley or asking the borough to do more with some scraping and salt placement in the future.
