e. They seem to have more planned holidays and break days off though than I remember having.

I've thought the same thing. Like, we used to start Christmas vacation the Monday before Christmas and go back the first Monday of the new year but now it's more like 2-3 weeks of Christmas break, plus the Monday after Thanksgiving, plus a couple other extra days that I don't remember having off.
