amazing. I would not be surprised if she wins the Best Actress in a Drama Tony this year. The whole production was great. I highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to see it. But be forewarned — it’s very dark.

The whole audience was required to power off our phones (not just silence them) and have them locked into Yondr pouches on the way in until after the show when theater staff unlocks the pouches on our way out. Some people were not happy about the Yondr pouch requirement. If people could be trusted to just turn off their phones for two hours, Yondr would not be necessary. But too many people have shown that they cannot be trusted with phones in theaters. So Yondr is becoming more common.

In this case, there is a fairly long stretch of nudity, including full frontal nudity, for both Carrie Coon and her male lead, Namir Smallwood. The whole play takes place in a cheap motel room in Oklahoma. It’s not gratuitous nudity. It’s key to the development of their relationship, trust and intimacy. But if they didn’t lock up our phones, you know there would be nude videos all over the internet.
