stored away by the end of the day. The first step in the process: the tree. It makes Dad SO happy to get his window seat back every January. Out of curiosity, as I was de-ornamenting the tree, I decided to count how many ornaments I had on the tree. I was guesstimating maybe 100...actual count was 152. I added three this year--a homemade candy cane ornament from good church friend, plus a bow ornament and a gilded reindeer from Target's after Christmas sale--and I'm "retiring" two: a paper clip angel that I didn't make (some elementary school student made it and was selling it at a craft show) that's pretty beat up and has definitely seen better days and a wooden star ornament that I got at Target just a few years ago but no longer really like.
Not tacking the rest of the Christmas decorations until some time later in the afternoon. I'm grateful that the weather has been slowly warming; the attic is now just cool/cold and not sub-Arctic <g>.
