local grocery store* as someone was coming out. He was shielding his eyes from the sun, saw me noticing and grinned, then said "isn't it great that we have to do this?" Yes...yes it is.

* I had no intention of going into the local grocery store BUT...the recent temps in the single digits/low teens caused my left rear tire to deflate slightly, as cold temps often do to tires. Most gas stations now charge for air, smh, but Giant Eagle's gas station--Get Go--does not. After work (and a little bit of Christmas shopping, which caused me to be both panicky and angry...but that's another story), I went over to Get Go to fill my tire and there was a gas truck delivering gas and blocking access to the air *le sigh*. It looked like it might take a while, so I went into the Giant Eagle next door and picked up a few things. When I came out, the tanker was gone but now someone was using the one air pump (or whatever you call them). I pulled up to the second one and the guy at the first one helpfully told me it wasn't working. So I waited for him to finish, then pulled up and put air in my left rear tire. The right rear tire was also a little low--not low enough to trigger the low tire pressure light but still low--so I tried to pull the hose around to put air in that tire as well, but the hose didn't stretch that far. I got in my car, swung around...and by the time I'd swung around, someone was using the working air pump. I had to wait her out as well, but at least now I'm driving on four tires all at 35 PSI.
