"natural causes". Gene was very old and demented and his wife who was also his caretaker fell ill. It's very unfortunate that they had no one checking in on them and they passed. Gene probably would have died anyway, but his wife and their one dog would have survived had there been someone regularly checking in on them.

It sounds like Rob Reiner and his wife were stabbed to death. Tragic. As was Gene Hackman's death. But not the same outside of the tragedy.
