to get people. I have exactly ONE gift for bff. My good church friend now working with my bff has had an unexpected bonus: today gcf passed on a few gift suggestions based on idle conversation between her and bff on the job <g>. I'm almost done shopping for gcf--I just need to get one more thing...and think of what that one more thing should be. I haven't got Dad a thing; there will be the usual donation to Toys For Tots in his name, plus I usually just slip him some cash to do with as he pleases, but I like for him to have at least one thing to unwrap. Based on how cold this winter has been already, I'm thinking maybe a heated blanket of some sort? I thought about replacing his favorite coffee cup which he broke last month, but I've already replaced it once, and he seems OK with using a different mug that we have in the kitchen.
I also need to think of something for Sis' family. In theory, we're no longer exchanging gifts and we definitely no longer exchange wish lists, but I always send Sis Christmas crackers and I *know* she'll send me something "small", "just because" (gift giving is her love language), so I need to think of something to send her--probably something food-related.
Hope everything you order arrives in a timely manner! That's a big downside of online shopping for me; if what I'm ordering is for myself, I don't care when it arrives, but if I need a gift for someone else for Christmas or a birthday, I care a LOT and hate sweating out the arrival (even while tracking the package online). On a related note...my store offers free shipping to customers who come in to buy something but we don't have it (or we don't have the right size/color). Lately we've seen an increase in customers who are either not getting their things in a timely manner or are not getting their items at ALL. Or are getting the wrong things...I do the "locates" (fulfilling online orders) at my store and enjoy doing it but it's not that hard to put the wrong thing in the bag.
