four working days, but it was really good! I am so relaxed!
We closed on the 20th, we've moved some boxes over and the contractors took care of the hot water heater closet repairs.
We had TGiving dinner at home; Safeway had a great deal on fresh-roasted turkey breast, then we had a bunch of sides. It was really good and we will do this again next year.
Back to the house: We've picked out our master shower walls (granite, nonetheless, but super cheap because our contractor buys from a wholesaler; I was expecting to pay twice what we will pay), and ditto for the hallway bathroom vanity and top.
Now waiting for his full estimate/timeline.
We are going to delay the move until mid-January because of the delays with closing and then the holiday.
Only issue is that there is a small roach problem in the garage. I sprayed like a freaking maniac (twice, and will go in again today to spray that shyt cuz NOPE). Four carcasses so far after two sprays; I do know how to rid a home of those creatures for years having refined this skill growing up in Manhattan. We think it's coming from a neighbor to our right (Gross).
You really need to try to have bugs here. In my experience.
Either way, pest control will happen stat. We need to sign up for a service anyway.
Plus we will have the contractor deep clean and paint the garage floor, so that'll help as well.
I cannot wait for it all to come together!
