I bought an adorable stuffed capybara today for my 8-yr old Angel Tree boy. It sounds like your Angel Tree kid will be getting some very nice gifts from you. My only experience with participating in Angel Tree is via my YMCA. I guess various organizations run it different ways. Our kids don’t have long wish lists — just their first and second choices. I’d love to get my kid a football too but I think they receive their gifts at a party so I don’t want some kids to get one gift and others to get more. There’s a wrap party for volunteers to wrap the gifts before the party. I’m going to get in touch with the woman who is coordinating the Angel Tree at the Y to clarify exactly how they distribute the gifts. Some organizations give the gifts to the parents who applied to the AT program so they can wrap them themselves and put them under their tree.
