a competition over on the street my street is off of...multiple houses in a row on both sides seem to be vying for the title of "Most Christmas Cheer" with all their yard decorations (it's actually really pretty...and maybe just a touch tacky at times, but in the best way!). A few years ago, most of the houses also started putting out Halloween decorations in their yard, both cute and downright terrifying. Last year, I noticed a few of those houses have inflatable Thanksgiving turkeys in the yard between Halloween and Christmas.
Like you, I likely won't decorate for Christmas till early or mid-December. Part of that is laziness and part of that is because I decorate more for fall than Halloween. 90% of my decorations in October are pumpkins or brightly colored leaves or signs about fall, so it all stays up until after Thanksgiving.
