is he so prolific, he's also just incredibly GOOD at anything. He could be writing the end of the world or a mystery or time travel. He can do any genre.

I'm really curious about the recent release of "The End of the World As We Know It: New Tales of Stephen King's The Stand". It's a collection of short stories from other authors, each writing a tale set during "The Stand" timeline. It could be during the initial outbreak or the aftermath or it could be about Flagg or Mother Abigail. King was fully on board with the idea and gave his blessing for the authors to do it. I might have to put it on my Christmas wishlist.
