someone whose mom lived until a few weeks short of 100. There was a long stretch when we knew it could happen at any time. Since I live in NY and mom lived in FL, we mostly thought we would get “the call”. But when we were down there visiting her, the thought crossed my mind numerous times while she slept. When it’s time for your dad, there will be no way that is easy for you, especially since you two are so close. (My mom and I had a very complicated relationship). I think the only way for you to think about the inevitable is to pray for a way for it to be easy for him.
