I didn’t realize your bff is now working at a doggie day care!
If my memory serves me right-she got burned out in nursing?

Yep. TBH, she was more in nursing for the $$$ and the stability rather than a deep desire to help people (though of course she was happy to help people). COVID was the last straw for her; she quit and started working for a nephew who had opened a winery about an hour southwest of Cleveland, (somewhat) near where bff grew up. She was managing the place and really enjoying the work...until she discovered her nephew was involved in some shady business practices, such as failing to pay the contractors and making promises he couldn't keep. She called him out on it and he fired her. The last I heard, that particular winery isn't in business anymore (or possibly someone else bought it? I'd hate to think of the place sitting empty after all the work that had gone into sprucing the old building up; I attended the soft opening there and thought it was a lovely space). Bff lived off her savings as long as she could, then she accepted a part time job at a doggie daycare not too far from her house. She's still looking for a second part-time job because she simply cannot pay the bills on what she makes at the daycare,

Is she more happy there? I can imagine the hours are better :-)

She's VERY happy there! She knew going in that it wasn't going to be all cuddles and puppy kisses; the place can hold as many as 30 dogs at a time, which means cleaning up a LOT of dog hair and accidents. But she really loves the dogs, and she loves having a steady schedule, usually working from 7:30-1:30 Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and picking up more hours as needed. She's kept her nursing license up to date; right now, she's considering picking up some hospice work on the weekends.
