results from Ancestry, bff teased me about my supposed Swedish and Russian heritage, asking me if I had cravings for Swedish meatballs and borsht. She mentioned my surprise familial roots to some of her family members...later, her nephew wrote a book and included a character who always thought he was one nationality but discovered he had a different nationality in the mix. Supposedly the inspiration for that came from me <g>.
And now I'm not even Swedish or Russian anymore. I'm still shocked that for now, at least, I'm more Spanish and Portuguese (each around 1%) than Scottish or Irish (.5% and .3% respectively).
