interested to read people's opinions of ANY shows they watch. When I first saw the name "Leann", I thought for a hot second that we'd somehow switched shows and were talking about the Netflix sitcom "Leanne", starring comedian Leanne Morgan. Now moving on to Southern accents...I watched the first season of Leanne (liked it, didn't love it) and the accents are...interesting. LM's accent is real but it feels somehow exaggerated to me. At the beginning of the season, Kirstin Johnson, who plays Leanne's older sister Carol, was attempting a Southern accent that kind of came and went...and when it came, it was pretty atrocious. Both Celia Weston and Blake Clark, who play the mom and dad of the sisters, were born in the South; their accents on the show are milder but at least realistic. Nobody else on the show uses a Southern accent though, despite all the characters supposedly being born there, and that's fine with me. I'd rather hear no Southern accent than a bad Southern accent.
