Marty’s family - one side came from Harwell, England, and the other is Scotch/Irish.

They thought they had Native blood too. Nope. But we did learn the Harwells are Viking/Norman which I think is so cool.

Mine has changed oh so significantly—-from 97.8% Ashkenazi to 98% 🤪🤪🤪

Dad’s family history was all wrong. They thought they left the Levant after the fall of the second temple to go to Spain and then Germany. Nope. They came from Central Asia and went into France. Then Germany, then Poland. Likely Steppe people way back when.

Mom’s side followed the traditional Ashkenazi pattern though.
