I also have a senior-priced membership at the YMCA. If you start finding discounts like these that work for you, it helps a lot with the budget.
After years of working long hard hours, I’m loving having all my time to do whatever I want. I spend a lot of time at the Y swimming. I’ve been a member at that Y for 20 years so I know a lot of people there and there is a real sense of community.
I was also able to go to Mexico twice this year on Jet Blue points so no need to spend money on airline tickets. I love not having to ask for time off to travel. Because I can go anytime, I can take advantage of good deals whenever they come up.
I’ll be dead before I run out of books I want to read, movies, plays, TV I want to see and things I want to do. It’s also nice to not have to worry about how soon my job will be done by AI instead.
