I'm also watching a couple of others that ended long ago.

-Merlí. I'm rewatching it with El Chico so he can see what teaching in Spain is like. This is one of the best teen dramas ever, about a philosophy teacher originally hired as a temporary sub (but continues on) and one of his classes. One of the students at the school is his son, who is dealing with coming out. It does a fantastic job of balancing student and faculty stories and it ended with the third season (as the creators intended). It was on Netflix at one point, but I think they took it off. You can see it in Catalán on TV3, but I don't think there are subtitles (I have the DVD).

-Everybody Loves Chris. I remember reading about how great this show was back when it originally aired in the mid 2000s, but I never saw it. It's on Hulu, and I'm enjoying it. It's loosely based on exec Chris Rock's experiences growing up in Brooklyn in the 80s. The titular character is played by a young Tyler James Williams, who is currently Gregory on Abbott Elementary.

-Men in Trees. Another mid 2000s show I never watched. Anne Heche is a relationship advice writer who finds herself in small town Alaska where most of the population is men. Cynthia Stevenson is the best part of the show (but I love her) as the town sheriff. It's nowhere near as good as Northern Exposure, and I never really feel like it's Alaska like I did with Northern Exposure (despite it not filming there either), but it's entertaining enough and only two seasons.

-Acapulco: My fave currently airing show. Eugenio Derbez tells the story of his experience working at Las Colinas in the 80s and how he came to be. It's just such a happy place, and I'm looking forward to see how they wrap it all up.
