I had to use a ski machine last week as part of my PT. I was very sore afterwards. Not just the knee, but just about everywhere. It's a cardio workout, which I haven't done in YEARS (maybe closer to way more than a decade), posture/stance requirements, and the work on the knees (both at the same time). Butt kicking everywhere.

The tech who did the intake asked me how I felt and if I had any pain anywhere. I told the tech about the soreness that I attributed to the ski machine...so the doctor had me do the ski machine again at yesterday's session. Don't complain, you'll do more of it.

I felt sore again yesterday and today; however, I realized that this is the only cardio I'll probably be able to do. I have a left leg that has not function well since...1995, so I haven't really been able to get my heart rate up or do a majority/whole body workout. I think this may be the machine for me. My doctors kept suggesting rowing machines. (Those require the use of your legs despite looking like it's about your arms.) They've suggested rowing machines for years. With a ski Erg machine, I could, in theory, sit on a chair while pulling the resistance wires to stretch, tone, engage my arms, shoulders, upper chest, keep my head and neck aligned, and get my heart rate up.

I looked for one on Amazon (of course) and found two that I like. One is about $450 and the other is about $600. Not too bad if it will help me healthwise. My daughter who lives with me said that she supports anything that I want to do to increase my health. I figure I'll put it on the patio and we'll both share it.

I may order it this evening, after I go back to the place to ask which of the two is better of if they recommend a specific one. It's like L'Oreal. I'm worth it.
