I’m sitting on a park bench outside of Walgreens on my way to pick up a prescription after a doctor appointment. A guy comes running by trying to carry 6 6-packs of paper towels. He’s being chased and drops two of them but gets away with four. Two minutes later another guy comes out pushing a personal shopping cart (not a store shopping cart) stuffed with cleaning supplies, including paper towels, bottles of Fantastic, etc. He breaks into a run pushing his cart in the same direction that the first guy ran.
I’m guessing they had a big cleaning job to do and didn’t want to pay for cleaning supplies? I doubt they were stealing stuff to resell. The price of paper towels is ridiculous. But who tries to run out of a store carrying something as big as 6 -6 packs of paper towels? That is 36 rolls of paper towels he’s trying to steal and run with. He got away with a lot of it though.
