that being barefoot very briefly at the airport has never bothered me. AFAIK, I’ve never had any bad health reactions or provided any to others with my bare feet. Of course, these feet are frequently in heavy chlorine for hours — often are in chlorine the day before I fly and usually are back in chlorine at my destination the same day I fly. I realize there are germs on airport floors but I’ve never worried about it for the very brief time my feet hit that floor.
On the other hand, I use hand sanitizer frequently once on the plane, especially if I’m eating and drinking and using the touchscreen on the seat back in front of me. I’ve also trained myself to eat with one hand and touch the screen with the other hand.
Super clean hands and “dirty” feet at the airport/on flights for me, I guess. Good thing I never have to touch my feet while flying.
