A milder complaint is there's simply no parking for all the visitors they encourage to visit. There's free parking on the street but those spots go quickly. There's a tiny lot behind one strip of stores that's free parking but those spots go quickly. There's a larger lot behind where I work; most of the spots are 2 hour free parking, and the gentleman who patrols the parking lot takes his job very seriously. He's constantly circling and looking for people to fine, or maybe tow. The businesses whose back doors open to this parking lot each have a handful of slots that are supposed to be only for employees or customers...few people pay attention to that. There's a couple rows of parking that require permits; I once thought naively that as an employee, I would get a parking permit so I would have a guaranteed spot. Nope, people have to purchase a permit, and I've heard it's a bit expensive. My best bet for parking: the single row of "all day municipal" parking. It's free, and I believe it's for anyone who works in town, but again, those spots are often filled by 9:30 AM. My solution <g>: a parking garage, preferably FREE, with the first level reserved for guests with a handicap placard and employees of the local businesses.

More concerning: there are a lot of wealthy people living in CF and some have SUCH a sense of entitlement. Not all of them...I was worried when I started at my job that the customers would be rude and entitled, and I'm happy to say most have been lovely. But a number of them have been...less lovely. And I'm sure those less lovely people are less lovely everywhere, not just in our store.

Most concerning: back in the 40s and 50s, most of the wealthy people settled right outside of downtown. Pretty much all of them were white and pretty much all of them had non-white help. Some ramshackle housing was built to the south of downtown to house the help and the racial divide is still there. Wealthy white people live near downtown in nice houses and much less wealthy white people are confined to the outer skirts, in places that are getting dangerously rundown :-(

Re your celebrity twosome, it was a lucky guess. For some reason, Travis Kelce coming from the Cleveland area stuck with me. I’m not a football fan and I don’t know Taylor Swift’s music well. But some cultural literacy is hard to escape. Once I thought of him, I thought of her.

I feel bad that the only co-worker I have who would've been even slightly impressed if TS came into the store...is B (Big Grandma Energy), who is currently in New Orleans visiting her new (and first) grandchild. Honestly, I can name one, maybe two TS songs and while I think her music is fine, it's not something I love.
