down the elevator and hot water to conserve power. I think that is good building management. Nobody needs a hot shower in this heat. And nobody needs to get stuck in a hot elevator in this heat. The laundry room is in the basement so the elevator being turned off effectively eliminated the use of washers and dryers too.
And we all keep our refrigerators, fans, AC if we have it, TVs and ability to charge our mobile devices.
I feel bad for people who did have complete power outages in this heat. My double feature at the movie theater yesterday turned out to be a good heat-beating strategy. In a little while, I’m heading to my Y pool for a very long swim.
Temps will be back to normal tomorrow.
