It's a Canadian animated movie from 2024 in which a meteor crashes into a zoo and turns most of the animals into zombies. A wolf, a mountain lion, a lemur, an ostrich, a proboscis monkey, a capybara and a pygmy hippo team up to save their fellow zoo denizens. The movie is loosely based on a short story by Clive Barker called Zoombies; Barker is an executive producer. Frankly, I thought the movie was kind of stupid and am surprised it got reasonably good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. I also didn't particularly care for the animation (why is Gracie--the wolf--so skinny?). Generally I enjoy a good animated movie with animals as the main characters (I love Zootopia and both Sing and Sing 2) but this one was a big paws...uh...thumbs down for me. One critic put it best: it's too scary for young kids and too silly for teens (the ending is especially head-scratching, although of course there's the obligatory heart-warming message about what we can achieve if we'd all just get along...)
